When you first come to us with your ideas every opportunity is taken to ensure that you, the client, is happy with the work as it proceeds. On receiving your design brief we endeavour to fulfil your requirements with a combination of creativity, speed, attention to detail, dedication and workmanship.

Preliminary Sketches

These are the preliminary sketches for the ‘Madame Butterfly’ costumes for Fiona and Dimitri.

Preliminary Sketch As part of the creative process Nick begins by familiarising himself with the music and feel of the routine. This allows insight into the character, plots, themes and motivations involved.

After initial research clients are then offered preliminary sketches. The Client then makes choices about personal preferences and any issues that may arise from this preliminary phase. Through experience we have recognised the importance of client /designer unity that’s why Discordia Designs offers on-line conferencing and one-to-one sessions with the client from conception to completion.

Adjustment & Refinement

Adjustment Drawings At all stages during the design and production clients are kept up to speed in the costume's development, costs and any other issues that may arise during the design process.

At Discordia Designs client feed back is integral to the process and any in-put from the client is welcomed, discussed and utilised.

This harmonic relationship is what makes Discordia different from other design houses.

Final Design Drawings

Final Designs Only when all parties are satisfied with design does the construction begin.

Nina then takes over and ensures all costumes are made to fit the budget of the client.

Only fabrics agreed by the client are used.
